juice_crew.JPGDust off your fly Gucci wear and Bally boots, folks. The story of the Queen-based hip-hop collective, The Juice Crew, will soon be told in a new film entitled The Vapors, named after the hit song by group member Biz Markie.

Filming on the independent flick is slated to start in January 2008, and it will document the rise of The Juice Crew from the Queensbridge Housing Projects to international stardom. The film will focus on crew members Biz, Big Daddy Kane, Marley Marl and Roxanne Shanté

Teen singer and actress, Keke Palmer, of Akeelah and the Bee and Jump In fame, has been cast as Roxanne, and Clifton Powell will take on the role of DJ and radio host Mr. Magic, who was instrumental in the
formation of the collective. There's no word on if The Vapors will be a theatrical release or go direct-to-DVD, but this movie just so happens to be the only vapors that we can't wait to catch.
