Janet Talks 'Discipline' at Exclusive Listening Session in Manhattan

Friend of SoulBounce, WW4P, hit up a listening session for Janet Jackson's Discipline last night in Midtown. A clear departure from 2006's 20YO, she says this album is classic Janet with a modern twist. It's refreshing to hear her say it out loud. I believe a certain writer somewhere on the internet once said that JD was trying to ghettoize her for the course of her last release. Nice to see her bringing it back. She also gives insight into why she named the new album Discipline and it doesn't involve S&M (more like tennis), although at some point she does mention that "love" and "sex" are recurring themes on her releases because she loves love and loves sex. We love Janet albums that are free of pretense and make us move. Get it, Penny!!
