Juice Crew Reunites This Friday at A3C Festival

a3festival_juice crew.jpgWhile The Vapors movie is still in production mode, those lucky enough to find themselves in the Atlanta area this Friday will be able get stoopid wit' it and catch the pioneering Juice Crew in full effect at the A3C Hip Hop Music Festival. Yes, you read it correctly. Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Marley Marl, Craig G, MC Shan, and Roxanne Shanté will be in the house doing it like only they know how. Expect old school heads reminiscing like it was '84 all over again, and young heads fantasizing that they were present when the body-rocking sounds from the Queens collective debuted on the Mr. Magic show. Here's to hoping that Biz doesn't perform "Picking Boogers."

The remainder of the three-day festival will include performances by Del The Funky Homosapien, Guilty Simpson, Jeru The Damaja, Wale, and Little Brother and others as well as a panel discussion on women in hip hop music which will include Dr. Shanté. She's got a Ph.D. in Psychology, in case you didn't know.

The festival, now in its fourth year, highlights the positive aspects of hip hop despite some artists' belief that it's a dying art form. As long as the beat doesn't stop, it's likely that hip hop as an art form won't either.
