Raheem DeVaughn To Rerelease 'Love Behind the Melody' With Some Textual Seduction

raheem_devaughn_tub.jpg 2008 has definitely been Raheem DeVaughn's year. He released his second CD, Love Behind the Melody, to critical acclaim, got nominated for a Grammy, and is currently on the last leg of his first headlining tour. So you would think that he'd be hard at work on his third CD to build on this momentum, right? Wrong. Instead of heading to the studio to work on disc three, DeVaughn is following the trend and rereleasing his last album packaged with a few extras.

One of the bonus cuts that will appear on Love Behind the Melody Version 2.0 will be the song "Text Messages." With lyrics such as "I'm sending you text messages, but you can call them sex messages," this ain't your mama's love song. Describing the new age form of communication between lovers, this cut will fit in nicely into the urban radio landscape and appeal to fans of The Dream, R. Kelly and other artists of their ilk. I love Raheem like a play cousin, but this is going to take some time to grow on me. Good looking out to The IPS of Tha Feedback for the word up on this one.
