If you thought Kanye West didn't have it in him to exercise humility, then think again! He was recently named in Vanity Fair's Best-Dressed of 2008. On "his" blog, "he" wrote: "I've sat in front of this computer for 20 minutes trying to put into words how I feel... who all to thank... and how to celebrate... this is a true honour and I am humbled by it!!!" E-gads! Not for nothing, but Kanye has definitely ushered in a new era of Hip Hop fashion that isn't monopolized by dirty wifebeaters, quadruple x-large denim, kevlar vests and court summonses. So props to him!
But Kanye can't possibly be surprised by this honor, can he? Someone from VF had to interview him at some point to elicit responses for the list, such as
"It's way harder to dress down than to dress up. Casual is the true test of an outfit master. Old men dress the best. They'll just be sitting in the park with a Missoni sweater, some tonal khakis, and some New Balance sneakers, and you're like, Damn, that outfit is perfect."
