Is It Raheem DeVaughn or Jesse Powell That Knocks 'You' Out?

Today's Battle of the Beats should be a good one, as fellow crooners Raheem DeVaughn and Jesse Powell duke it out over the exclusive use of the word "You" in their respective songs. In this corner is DeVaughn, representing the New School, who may set some kind of record for the use of the word in one song. So he has that going for him. It was in 2005 when the "R&B hippie neo soul rock star" hit us with The Love Experience, with this song as the third single released. And in that corner is Powell, Old School all the way, who may also hold a record as the person who got the most syllables out of a monosyllabic word. Which isn't easy, folks. It was actually 10 years ago this week that Jesse released the certified gold 'Bout It, with "You" as the second single.

So there you have it. A Battle for the ages. Old School vs. New School. Which one knocks "You" out? Let's get ready to rumble!!!
