Miri Ben-Ari Pulls Some Strings With 'Stand With Me'

Miri Ben-Ari has been called a "musical pioneer" by many in the industry. She's also known as the "hip hop violinist," collaborating with everyone from Jay-Z to Janet Jackson. Her most recent collabo, however, is with hip hop pioneer/humanitarian Russell Simmons and designer Marc Ecko, and states clearly her choice for the next President of the United States (sorry, Nate). In this clip released last week, Ben-Ari strums the national anthem with both a hip-hop beat and portions of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's "Stand With Me" speech along for the ride. I'm a sucker for a violin, and Miri in particular, so she had me at "stand." The clip is directed by Ben-Ari and Kenzo Hakuta. Enjoy.
