It's impossible to adequately compare award show darling Jennifer Hudson and recently snubbed Jazmine Sullivan. The effort is not worth the ends. Nevertheless, Jazmine Sullivan is unfazed by her five Grammy snubs (robbed!) and is not wasting her time in flexing her talent in a film role. It's a period piece called Red Tails in which she plays a singer--aka the primary crossover initiation for any R&B artist in the history of music and film. Of course we all know how this career move played out for JHud and Whitney Houston, so it could be a step in the right direction. She notes that she acted in plays as a child and is at home doing anything creative, which is the type of sweetly confident response we've come to expect from Jazzy. And since she'll pretty much be singing her part she's bound to excel. [BB]
