If you're anything like us, then you're probably wondering where in the world Melanie Fiona's debut album The Bridge is. Her first single "Give It To Me Right" (video after the bounce) has been caressing our eardrums for a while now, and the full-length disc was supposed to drop this spring but its release date has been pushed back to later this summer. We hope. While we exercise extreme patience here at SBHQ, there is some light at the end of the tunnel...er, bridge. Melanie has teamed up with the one and only Questlove to do a mixtape of sorts to whet people's appetites for the album. But this won't be your typical "obnoxious DJ yelling over the songs giving away all the good ones on the album" mixtape, as Questo explains in the often-amusing video below. The Bridge Remixed Live will feature live reinterpretations of tracks on The Bridge, and it'll be "lounge-y, vibe-y and innovative" to hear him tell it. That has hotness written all over it. Production on The Bridge Remixed Live is complete, so this should be dropping soon. And we can't wait.
