Melanie Fiona 'Kills' In Her Latest Video

I love music videos that aren't what they seem. Ones where you might think the director is telling the story based strictly on the song lyrics, but then, they don't. That, along with the singer herself (lawdie!), is what I loved about the latest video from Canadian cutie and SoulBounce fave Melanie Fiona, as she serves up a killer clip with "It Kills Me." The track, a follow-up to the single "Give It To Me Right," is a gorgeous ballad about a woman who's all torn up as to whether to stay in a relationship that's clearly not good for her. Cut to the video, with its arid backdrop, and shows Melanie getting out of (her boyfriend in the clip) Adam Rodriguez's car. We may think that she's finally seen the light. That it was time for her to go. Then the video, directed by Armen Djerrahian, flips on us. In ways you literally don't see coming right away. Peep it below and let us know what you think. The Bridge is in stores this fall.
