Quiet Bounce: Feel How Much I Love You With One Touch Of My Hand

"Spend My Life With You" is one of the genre's great ballads that was one of the swan songs of the R&B boon during the '90s. No wonder this song went to the top of the R&B charts when it was released in 1999. The lyrics are overly saccharine and the instrumentals and vocals are equally as precious (and pure, as she sings). And it's wonderful. Eric Benét and Tamia are at their best, pulling every ounce of emotion out of every note but without breaking the melodramatic threshold. It's always about to burst. That tension coupled with the singers' voices, which are a lovely compliment to one another, make this as full and consistently satisfying love song as any.

  1. Does anyone remember the version he did with Terry Dexter? I thought that one was superior. I loved Tamia, but the T.Dexter version was more soulful. She has a underrated voice. Just saying.

  2. I so loveeee this song my fave verse 'Can I just see you every morning when I open my eyes...Can I just feel your heart beating beside me...Every night Can we just feel this way together Till the end of all time...Can I just spend my life with you'
A Day In The Life was one of best of Albums of 1999 ^.^

  3. Loved this song so much. My sis chose it as her wedding song...

  4. Oh, how I love this song.

  5. I just love this song. It's always fresh, I don't care how many times I hear it. It is a classic and one of my all time favorites. I think that Erice Benet is an under-rated artist. I saw him here in my hometown at the City Theatre, his voice was on point, true to the sound of his recordings. Plus, he had such a great rapport with his audience, very memorable and enjoyable.
