Find Your 'Metropolitan Muse' This And Every Wednesday In DC

There's another spot for Washington, DC music lovers to let their soul glow on a weekly basis. The Metropolitan Muse Concert Series at Layla Lounge features some of the best local talent that the DMV has to offer every Wednesday night. Singer and pianist Terrence Cunningham is the artist in residence, and if you've never heard him live, then you are truly missing out. I went to check this event out last week, and he put a hurting on Prince's "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore," which quickly made me a believer. SoulBounce family friend DJ Phaze, who was the first of our esteemed Mixologists, spins soulful delights before the performances and later once the after party gets crankin. This week Bounce-Worthy songtress Alison Carney graces the stage alongside a who's who of the local music circuit covering everything from Soul to Hip Hop and all points in between. The show starts this and every Wednesday at 10 pm for the bargain price of $10. Check out the flyer for tonight's show after the bounce and visit Metro Muse Online to find out who'll be rocking the stage each week.
