Get Ready For Corinne Bailey Rae To Take Us Out To 'Sea'

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really excited for Corinne Bailey Rae's new album, The Sea, to be released. Sure you can hear a streaming version of it online, but after watching her explain every aspect of it, down to the photography in the liner notes, in this video made a compelling case for picking up a physical copy. She speaks about the album in a way that's smartly devoid of talk about her personal tragedy. (As though it doesn't permeate her life enough, she has to rehash it for every single bit of publicity for this album?) Choosing not to work with other musicians and singers, she looked to visual artists like Frida Kahlo and others for inspiration. Between sound bites she sings an acoustic version of "I'd Do It All Again" that reemphasizes just how great it is to have her back. [H/T: OKP]
