The Roots Take Us For A Ride In 'Dear God 2.0'

The Roots have done it again. Not only have they dropped yet another stellar hip-hop album with How I Got Over officially available everywhere now, but they return with some awesome visuals to accompany the single "Dear God 2.0." In the video, Black Thought plays a cab driver navigating the streets of NYC for fares. His passengers run the gamut and, although there are no taxicab confessions here, each one tells a story in the mere seconds that they're on film. The haunting vocals of Monsters of Folks' Jim James, also a passenger for the ride, color Black's verses. The video culminates in an unfortunate ending that finds Thought making a life-or-death decision and leaves you asking yourself what would you do if you were in that situation.
