'Go' Get Some Black Milk & More Next Week In DC

It's already been established that 2010 is the year that hip hop took a turn for the better. So much so that I've fallen in love with the genre once again. One MC/producer/beatmaker who will be continuing the trend and is amongst those I call a favorite is Black Milk who will drop his next joint, Album of the Year, on September 14th. Yes, that's a cocky title, but he can back it up. Just take a listen to the first single, "Welcome (Gotta Go)," that he released for free on his Bandcamp page last week. Pure niceness. If you're in the DC area on July 22nd, then you can experience some of this niceness for yourself when Black Milk comes to town for concert with Jerome Baker III and Dest.Roy.Ayers at the Gibson Guitar Lounge. Sponsored by Undercult men's lifestyle collective and Heineken, damage is only $10 but the free drinks and entertainment on tap more than make this worth your while. Peep the flyer after the bounce and also get the 411 on a contest that Undercult is running for a lucky fan to win dinner with Black Milk and autographed copies of his entire discography.
