I remember hearing of Stalley last year when I discovered that he had dropped a project whereby he rhymed over some of my favorite Madlib jazz beats from Shades of Blue, appropriately called Madstalley. I thought it was commendable, but I didn't think much of it outside of him rhyming over my favorite Madlib jazz beats. Stalley is now back again with "Babblin'" whose video presents a nice slice of life in post-Katrina New Orleans. The beats are still provided by Madlib, if you count his reinterpretation of Bobby Hutcherson's "Montara," but it's still a pleasant journey nonetheless.
