Rhonda Thomas Let’s Her ‘Light’ Shine

After an 11-year run as a background vocalist and featured soloist with Isaac Hayes before his untimely passing in 2008, Rhonda Thomas turned the focus back on her solo career and the new album, Listen, is the fruit of her labor. With an envious range and soulful vocals that can transport you from the juke joint on Saturday night to the church pew on Sunday morning, Thomas shines brightly on this new set. The album's lead single, "The Light," is a funky manifesto to live your best life. If you're feeling down, then this song will surely pick you up and probably make you want to break out into a two-step while you're at it.

  1. Fantastic to see Rhonda getting some shine! I been talking about her since I went down to the ATL to see Julie Dexter and Heston perform. She was backing Julie and sang her face off. I wrote that she needed an album stat and glad to see it come to fruition. This is light, upbeat and feel good. Can't wait to see what other goodies she has for us.

  2. Instantly liked her, she's just plain good and I will buy that album.

  3. I LOVE THIS SONG... : )
