Richgirl Got Their 'Swagger Right'

The word "swagger" is right behind "hater" and "grown and sexy" as terms that I'm trying to eliminate from my vocabulary. The over and misuse of the word has taken all of the meaning out of it and turned it into a sorry cliche. So you can imagine how hard my eyes rolled when I saw that girl group Richgirl had a song named "Swagger Right" featuring Fabolous and Rick Ross. But then I heard the song--an instruction manual of sorts for dudes to properly step their game up--and didn't hate it. Plus, like I've said before, I actually dig Richgirl and have been waiting for an album from them since early 2009. With the release of the video for "Swagger Right," it's looking like their debut record may get to see the light of day sooner than later unless Sony just likes to throw money around and make music videos all willy nilly. In the clip, the ladies of Richgirl--Lyndriette, Audra, Brave and Seven--follow the playbook and look great, sing, look great, dance, look great and wear itty bitty outfits. Fabo and Ricky Rozay serve as rapping bookends, but it would have been a nice touch to see some fine men in the video who actually have their swagger right and tight.
