Marsha Ambrosius Lays It Down On ‘Sextape Part 1’

Marsha Ambrosius and her lovely, more well-apportioned thighs make a comeback of sorts on her Sextape Part 1 unleashed upon the masses this past Saturday, just in time for some cooler weather and for any winter boo planning you may have in mind. Featuring her take on such soulful slow jam classics as Marvin Gaye's "Come Live With Me Angel," Stevie Wonder's "Make Sure You're Sure," and "Sexuality Part 1 & 2" by The Isley Brothers, some of this is nothing more than Marsha seductively cooing, while other tracks allow for a bit more of her ad-libbing but still cooing nonetheless. It's available for free download, and for those of you who want more original material, you will just have to wait until her newest Late Nights & Early Mornings drops soon.

  1. Thanks.
OT, but the link for the Soulbounce Soul Train tribute is invalid. Is there a re-up and is SB still doing podcasts?

  2. Marsha can do no wrong..................No wrong!

  3. @Oldskoolsista: The download link for The Ultimate Soul Train Line was fixed and another added this past weekend. Check again.

  4. marsha = sexy ass voice.

  5. its not bad but i thought she was singing it. this sound like she just cleaning up her room or something like i do when i'm driving

  6. Thanks Butta. 🙂

  7. I don't get it. This is an amazing talent/singer/songwriter. Why is she giving 'Butterflies' to someone else and keeping a clunky song like "I Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player)"? Then put out a 'mixtape' where she basically sings over other folks tunes with the original singers STILL singing on them??? Isn't that a Ghostface move? Can someone help me understand this? I repeat, I'm a 'FAN' and an 'artist' (I use the term loosely) and I'm just not getting this. I've always admired her work and the last few moves she's made, in terms, of 'releasing; material, has got me scratchin' my head like I got dandruff or something! Is it the fact she's at J Records instead of Aftermath? Could someone PLEASE help explain this to my ignorant ass? I really want to understand this, if at all possible. *sigh* I wish her well, regardless. But still.....

  8. This was a disappointment.

  9. I honestly don't know what to say about this other than I'm a little offended. I love her voice and even on the songs her voice is beautiful...but she brought absolutely nothing to neither of these classic soul songs. I'm talking about when I listen to all 3 of these jamz...yes I did say jamz I feel them in my soul...the last thing I want to hear is such a classic gem being tampered with. If you are not going to bring it, then leave the perfection alone...These gems are the work of perfectionist, people who took/take their craft very serious, just listen to them they did not require the additional crooning....she's too smart and talented for this kind of foolishness

  10. I think Sextape Pt. 1 is about the songs that inspired Ms. Ambrosius to do Late Nights, Early Mornings. I like the fact that she doesn't get in the way of Come Live With Me Angel or Make Sure You're Sure. She picks her spots well in Sensuality Pts. 1 & 2. That song allows her to play around more than the first two.
