Seu Jorge And Almaz’s New Video Is A ‘Model’ Of Loveliness

I still hold a special place in my heart for Seu Jorge despite this questionable "Billie Jean" rendition. Since being alerted to this video's existence last week, its memory has resided in the recesses of my mind. Presented as a short film entitled The Model, it has been beautifully shot by Kahlil Joseph who also beautifully shot this video for Shabazz Palaces' "Bellhaven Meridian." This chapter of The Model, "Chapter 1 (Prelude): Marcello In Limbo," does an excellent job of capturing the vibe that Seu Jorge and Almaz manage to capture on their latest self-titled album. The video includes several tracks from the album including a cover of Roy Ayers' "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" and a personification of Yoruba goddess Oshun. Intrigued yet? Press play below.
