Let's hear it for trip hop! Especially for groups like Stateless who are really pushing the genre beyond its often tiring limitations. "Ariel," the first single from the forthcoming album Matilda, is a whole lot of kitchen sink. It's like Global-Electro-Funk-Wave & B, or something. Yet once the song reaches its first chorus it all really works. In the video for the song, faceless dancers move across a stage as expressive digital manipulation turns the choreography into something really beautiful. Definitely worth viewing at least once.
