We previously introduced you to Grillade, but--just to recap--the group is composed of Ragen Fykes (vocals), Keelay (producer) and The Park (rhythm section). This week they released their first official track, "Just A Sad Christmas," which is, as the title suggests, not your average cheerful Christmas fare. The song, a cover of a 1960s piece by Soul Duo, is a heartfelt slice of blues-drenched soul that reflects the experiences of many at this time of year, namely sadness, loneliness and longing. It may all sound a bit depressing, but, even if the themes are not indicative of your situation, it is perfect for those long dark nights where you can reflect on how lucky you are.
