Damon Aaron Brings Us A Late 'Autumn'

Los Angeles singer/songwriter/producer Damon Aaron had an instant fan in me after I took a listen to his 2008 album Highlands. Combining soul, folk, and electronica with his burnt sugar vocals, it was the perfect album for just kicking back and relaxing to. Early last year there were whispers that we'd see a follow up but those rumors were ultimately unfounded...or so I thought. Damon did indeed release Autumn last November, but rather than being a full album it was a five-track EP, and it slid under just about every musical radar I know of. The EP is a bit of a departure from Highlands in that he has shunned the electronic soul sound and gone for a more folk/Americana vibe, however it is still very, very soulful. Take a listen to the title track and the heartfelt "Roughshod" below and if you like what your hearing head on over to Damon's Bandcamp page where the EP is available for free.
