'Send It On' To Mara Hruby

OK, so we first mentioned Mara Hruby only few days ago. Good covers are good covers, though. (Free albums of covers are even better.) And successfully covering soulologist D'Angelo takes a unique type of talent. Usually those who attempt the feat strip all of the funk and grit from his slippery tracks. This isn't the case with Ms. Hruby. In her capable voice, "Send It On" still smolders and sticks without overwhelming the instrumentals, which stay surprisingly true to the original. Whenever she releases her own material it will be worth copping. Until then, bring on the covers.
