Talib Kweli Decodes Lyrics Upon Request

While we could all agree that Talib Kweli was pretty cool before, he has permanently removed any room
for doubt by giving extreme praise for Jay-Z's Decoded, which maintains its place in the top 10 on the New York Times Best Sellers list since its debut at #3 in November 2010. Inspired by the novel
concept of allowing fans to uncover the true meaning of lyrics as well as the motivating thoughts behind
songs, Talib has decided to do the same. Respectfully refraining from imitating Jay-Z by writing a book
of his own, he is allowing people to gain the same insight into his songs by breaking down some of his
lyrics. Once his fans respond to a blog post on Year of the Blacksmith and request songs to be discussed, he will decode the top
eight requested tracks. Clearly busy with the upcoming release of his new album, it's refreshing to see Talib
take time to respond to his public.

limited edition vinyl of his upcoming album, Gutter Rainbows, to be released on January 25th.
