OK, so free music is free music. We shouldn't bite the hand that feeds, we need to be thankful, etc. Timbaland Thursdays is not just a cute use of alliteration by everyone's favorite interplanetary producer circa 1998, it's his way of gifting us with new tracks every week a la Yeezy's GOODFridays and Swizzy's Monster Mondays. Great concept, right? Except the song he chose to launch it, "Take Ur Clothes Off," is like a waking up in an alternate universe where Timberland didn't blow our minds with phenomenal tracks for over a decade. It also vaguely sounds like Missy video-chatted her verses, too. It could be worse, sure. Here's to next Thursday.
