Alice Russell Takes Us To Church At London's Union Chapel

I'll put this out there: I absolutely, unequivocally adore Alice Russell. For me, she stands alongside artists such as Omar, Brand New Heavies, and Julie Dexter as shining lights of the UK soul scene. I own all her albums as well as a number of singles, collaborations, and remixes, and I am beyond excited to hear what she has been cooking up in the studio alongside friend and regular collaborator TM Juke. We shouldn't have to wait too much longer as Alice has stated she has been hard at work on her next solo album as well as another collaborative effort with Quantic. The solo album should be released mid-year, and if the snippets are anything to go by, we should be in for a real treat. If like me you are eagerly awaiting new material from Alice then I'm sure the footage after the bounce will go some way towards satiating that hunger. Recorded live at a one-off gig Alice performed at London's beautiful Union Chapel last year, the footage features stripped back performances of "Let Us Be Loving" and "Mirror Mirror On The Wolf (Tell The Story Right)" as well as her stunning cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy."
