Eric Roberson Speaks On The Soul Of Social Media

Although he didn't take home a GRAMMY Award this past Sunday for Best Urban Alternative Performance, SoulBounce fave Eric Roberson made the most of his whirlwind time in Los Angeles during GRAMMY Week. I had a chance to indulge in my Errobsession a few times while in LA, running into Roberson on numerous occasions and getting a chance to see him perform on the left coast a couple times as well. One of the cooler events where we were both in attendance was the Social Media Rock Stars Summit, which took place at the Conga Room last Friday afternoon with a panel of social media gurus and tastemakers including representatives from Foursquare, Facebook, and Pandora alongside musicians Chamillionaire and Adam Lambert. After the event, Erro was interviewed by GRAMMY.com where he took time to discuss his nomination, the Urban Alternative category, the importance of social media for independent artists, and how he uses it to his advantage on the indie soul scene. The most important nugget of information that I gleaned from this interview was Eric confirming that his new album will be released in July--just in time for my birthday and to be eligible for next year's GRAMMY Awards.
