I had been grooving to Afro Punk darling Tamar-kali for quite some time. I have also been grooving to her "Pearl (Remix)" featuring Jean Grae ever since it was released some time ago via her Bandcamp page. Though most of us are gripped in the midst of a winter wonderland, the new video for "Pearl" shows three heroines as they make their mark in the quintessential urban jungle that is New York City all while eventually convening on a rooftap jam where they can let loose their troubles courtesy of a rather nice verse by Jean Grae. Sisters are definitely stepping in hotter this year and continue to it for ourselves. This video is proof of that. Check it out below.
