Bounce-Worthy: Naomi Jasmine

London is well known as a hot-bed of musical talent, and it seems that barely a day goes by when I don't stumble across another singer/songwriter/producer/musician hailing from the UK capital. I owe thanks to Szjerdene for my latest "discovery," a young lady who goes by the name Naomi Jasmine. Influenced by SoulBounce faves such as Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu, Jasmine independently released her debut, self-titled EP last year and is currently gigging around London as well as working on new material. The seven-track EP leans heavily towards the jazzier side of soul/R&B but with enough modern pop sensibility to have potential crossover appeal to a more mainstream audience. You can hear two songs from the EP below, the light and breezy love song "Loopy Loo" and the more mellow "30 Second Love." If you like what you hear, the EP is available from iTunes and Amazon while we await more from this refreshing artist.
