You wouldn't think it to look at them, but Smoove & Turrell are one of the UK's funkiest outfits. Having released Antique Soul back in 2009, they are now gearing up for the release of their sophomore effort, Eccentric Audio, this summer. Their debut was brimming with modern funk, northern soul, and breakbeats with just the right amount of retro sprinkled on top to keep things familiar. I can attest that the guys are on a whole 'nother level when they perform live. The first track to surface from the upcoming project is the dance floor friendly, northern soul-stomper "Slowdown."
