I know that we've all moved on to Airtight's Revenge, but I still lament the fact that Bilal's second album, Love For Sale, never got released--well, at least not via the proper channels. Not only was that the album that made me a fan, but it had one banger after another on there that would have made great singles and lent themselves to even better videos. Although Bilal was robbed and we were denied the opportunity to enjoy Love For Sale the way it was meant to be enjoyed at the time, that hasn't stopped auteur Michael Sterling Eaton from releasing a new video for the song "Sorrow Tears and Blood" from the shelved collection. This isn't an official video release, but instead it's footage taken from an outdoor concert in Los Angeles that found Bilal and Common, who kicked a few verses on the track, on the same stage. Eaton, who also directed the bizarro video for "Restart," pieced together performance and backstage clips of them and boiled the over seven-minute song down to the video we have here. I dig the interaction between B and Com and have my fingers crossed that two of my favorite freckled artists will collaborate on something new sooner than later.
