One of my favorite voices to emerge last year was Wah Wah 45's artist Stac. Since the release of her debut in June, she has been hard at work performing live as well as compiling tracks for her remix compilations. The Remixes / Vol. One contained some real gems and now The Remixes / Vol. Two is available for download via her Bandcamp page. With each compilation clocking in at 15 tracks, it would be easy to think that there will be one or two highlights amongst a plethora of "filler," but that is certainly not the case. In fact, I'd say that Vol. Two has the slight edge over its predecessor, due mainly to Hint's New Jack Swing-inspired "Tip" remix and Scrimshire's retro take on "Strainger."
