Black Spade drops the beat in the fresh new video for "New African," a track from last year's Build and Destroy mixtape, which if you don't have yet you need to cop the download with the quickness.
Set in what appears to be a dark classroom, the setting is the perfect location for the knowledge that Spade is dropping. Directed by fellow hip-hop artisan and producer Thaione Davis, the visuals are stripped down and simple, allowing you to focus on Spade's lyrics instead of being distracted by nonsense. My only criticism is that this video is about a minute too long. It could have ended with Black Spade knocking out the beat on a desk around the three-minute mark instead of continuing on after that.
