Osunlade To Release His Last House Album With 'Pyrography'

Osunlade, one of the biggest names in soulful house music and the man behind Yoruba Records, has revealed that his next record will be his last house album. I'll give you a few minutes to collect yourself, which is exactly what I needed this morning after hearing this news via his album sampler, which you can listen to below and, as to be expected, is smoking. Ten years after releasing his house debut, Paradigm, Osunlade is ready to close this chapter of his career with the May 16th release of Pyrography. The 13-song set will feature more vocals than we've previously heard from him, as well as more of the house heat that we've become accustomed to on songs like the first single "Idiosyncracy." I'm holding out some hope that he will still make house tracks here and there and continue to bless other artists with his remixes, but only time will tell. Although this album marks the end of an era, it sounds as if Osunlade is exiting the game at the top of his.
