Latin, funk, disco, house, bossa...these are just a few of the words that have been used to describe Bah Samba (aka Julien Bendal) in his over 15-year musical career. Well known as the man who discovered UK soulstress Alice Russell and featured her on a number of classic tracks such as "Portuguese Love" and "Tired Little One," he has continued to produce music alongside some very respected vocalists and producers/remixers. He is gearing up to release his latest album, Shake The Dog, this July which will feature a mixture of new tracks and reworkings of past hits. One of the new songs on the album sees Bah Samba team up with Boom Clap Bachelors' vocalist Liv Lykke on "Moonlight," a laid-back, soulful house groove I can imagine going over great at a late-night, after-hours beach party.
