The gentlemen whose velour tracksuits and Timberland boots defined my youth are back to sing about
love in all its forms, particularly of the intravenous variety. Jagged Edge return with "Flow
Through My Veins," a new single which is sweet, soulful, and summery, all signature qualities of a typical JE song. The
use of an acoustic guitar gives the song a fluid feeling, and brings to mind Musiq Soulchild's "Teachme." Brian, Brandon, Kyle, and Wingo seem to have matured nicely in their time away from
the music scene without losing any of their flavor. It's refreshing to see that ballads about the beauty of
requited love never seem to get old. The release of JE's new album, The Remedy, on June 21st should be
the sweet relief we need to beat this summer heat.
