This new season of TVOne's Unsung is shaping up to be one of my favorite yet, especially with one of my favorite male groups up next to be profiled. The Spinners ruled the '70s with their sweet soul harmonies that ran the gamut from slow jams to disco ditties. You could listen to their music while underneath a red light at a basement party or a mirror ball on the dance floor and every light source in between. Although they went through numerous personnel changes through the years -- which this program will surely address as well as what caused their eventual downfall -- one thing to remain was their classic sound. A sound that Stevie Wonder contributed to when they remade his song "It's A Shame" into a huge hit.
