It looks like Switzerland's Festival Week-end au bord de l'eau was the place to be this past July. Not only did they have the amazing Belleruche outfit grace the stage, but one of my favorite live acts, Tortured Soul, was also in attendance. The three-man gang have been steadily touring for the better part of 2011, although their travels have yet to bring them back to the Washington, DC area and I'm very bitter about this. Nonetheless, John-Christian Urich, Ethan White, and a bassist who filled in for band member JKriv, rocked the soulful house at Festival Week-end au bord de l'eau with over an hour of rousing live renditions of selections off of their two excellent albums, Introducing Tortured Soul and Did You Miss Me. The entire set was captured on film and packaged up for everyone's soul-clapping enjoyment.
