Sharlene Hector is a name that instantly brings a smile to my face. Whether it be alongside the likes of Mark de Clive-Lowe or Basement Jaxx as a featured vocalist, providing supporting vocals for soulful dynamo Alice Russell, or on her own solo material, I don't think I've heard her sound anything less than stellar. If the point needed proving, then take a look at the video below where Sharlene gives a live rendition of the song "You Don't Have To Tell Me" backed by nothing more than an acoustic guitar.
