Is There Any More 'Room' For Dawen?

I know you are probably tired of Drake and his half-singing (and his eagerness and angst expressed while half-singing). I know you probably gave young Aubrey the side eye when he named his song "Marvin's Room," as if it had been imbued with the spirit of the late Marvin Gaye. I know. But you need to check out this Chinese/English version of "Marvin's Room" performed by Dawen, a Los Angeles based soul singer. He retooled the lyrics a bit (I assume "f--k that n---a" is hard to translate) and there are subtitles. Sha Sha Jones also lends her vocals to the song, making it incredibly captivating to watch and listen to. Part of me wanted to make a smart alec "Romeo Must Die" comment, but it would take away from how dope it is that that hip-hop music spans across cultures to express feelings that all people wrestle with.
