Take It 'Slow' With Joe

Even in this oversexed society, it isn't always about sex. Sensing that there was a void in the chaste love song department, R&B singer Joe decided to record his ode "Slow Kisses." And while Joe definitely gets an A for effort, his execution leaves a lot to be desired. For one, the production sounds like a '90's affair (in the unfortunate Levert II kind of way). Secondly, the lyrics are just cringe-worthy and sound like they were written after reading the R. Kelly for Dummies handbook. Thirdly, Joe's odd Drake-impression and the inclusion of the unnecessary rap verse further take away from what I'm guessing was supposed to be a tender song about just being with the one you love without the pressure of having sex. Seeing as "Losing," seemed like a step forward for Joe, "Slow Kisses" is two steps back. Hopefully when The Good, The Bad, The Sexy is released tomorrow, this'll be the album's only misstep.
