After teasing us for the past month with a lyric video and behind-the-scenes stills, Common finally gives fans us what we've been waiting for with the official video for "Blue Sky." The second single taken from his No I.D.-helmed ninth studio album, The Dreamer, The Believer, the video shows various tenants in an apartment as they strive to perfect their crafts, be it ballet, basketball, writing, music, or art. We see all of the dedication, frustration, determination and hope that goes into following one's dream. Interspersed with shots of Common lying back on a bed, standing in a staircase and outside with nothing but limitless blue skies as his back drop, Lonnie serves up a hefty dose of inspiration as he rhymes about reaching for the top. And hats off to director Paris, who does an awesome job of capturing those moments of solitude and self-doubt that can sometimes threaten to derail our dreams. This is a worthy appetizer of what's to come when The Dreamer, The Believer hits stores on November 22nd.
