Get 'Over' Yourself & 'Move' With Common

As a sure sign that we'll be getting a new Common album soon, it seems that Mr. Lynn is all over the place. We've already brought you "Blue Sky," the first taste from The Dreamer/The Believer (as well as a preview of the song's visuals) and now we bring you "Let's Move." A soulful, horn-filled number, "Let's Move" finds Common returning to his Common Sense days, mixing conscious lyrics and gangsterisms over producer DSteele's smoothed out track. To drive that point home, there is also a unique video, created from what seems to be animated storyboards. It follows Com and DSteele as the find our video's alluring (yet troubled) heroine confront her uncle (who happens to look like Samuel L. Jackson's character from Black Snake Moan) that means her no good. While it won't be appearing on Common's upcoming album, it seem's that you will be able to find the track on DSteele's upcoming Detonators project (or you could grab yourself a download). Speaking of free downloads, Common is giving you a double dose as part of No I.D.'s Cocaine 80s collective. Their latest mixtape, Ghost Lady, is definitely bringing the heat (and you can get it for the low, low price of a tweet). Com's contribution, "Six Ft. Over," features him in just as fine a form as he is on "Let's Move." It looks like this fall will belong to Common and I, for one, am completely fine with that.
