You Want To Hear Some New Carl Thomas, 'Don't' You?

Pushing an album back is fairly common in the music industry, so it's no surprise that Carl Thomas' Conquer didn't hit shelves a week ago on October 4th. Don't be alarmed though, because Carl's given us something to make the wait not seem as long: his second single "Don't Kiss Me." Where as "Round 2" took a turn for the R. Kelly, "Don't Kiss Me" is closer to the Carl that we all loved during his Emotional era. Always a hopeless romantic at heart, Carl warns the lady in his life not to kiss him unless her lips will say "I love you for life." In other words, don't play with Carl's emotions, girl. The sound of the record gives a nod to the arrangement of '60's and '70's love songs, but updates it with modern production, striking a nice balance between the two. It also goes without saying that Carl sounds superb on the track, breaking us off with his mellow vocal and occasional falsetto. Conquer is now set to be released December 6th, but you can head to iTunes now to purchase "Don't Kiss Me" after you press play below.
