Kendrick Lamar's 'Rigamortus' Remix With Busta Rhymes Gives Life

I stan for Kendrick Lamar, which is why this remix of the Section 80 cut "Rigamortus" with Busta Rhymes is giving me so much life right now. This song (the entire album, really) is a strong example of the renaissance hip hop is undergoing as of late. The song's jazzy composition is intelligent without being condescending, and Lamar possesses a distinctive flow that slays lesser lyricists. Busta doesn't disappoint either, digging into the song with the rigor that we have all come to know and love. Let's not forget that before Busta Buss was the anchor leg on Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" he was imploring us to put our hands where his eyes can see with unbridled fervor and zest. It's good to see underground artists like Lamar gaining wider exposure without have to compromise the content or character of their work. Better yet, it's dope that old heads are willing to stay fresh and mentor younger artists.
