Although he's best known to the general public as a rocker, fans of Lenny Kravitz have always known that blended in with those kick-ass guitar riffs is one funky soul man. Over the course of his 23-year career, Lenny has always tapped into his soulful sensibilities on tracks such as Mama Said's "It Ain't Over Til It's Over," Are You Gonna Go My Way's "Heaven Help," and 5's "Thinking Of You." So it's no surprise that in this clip for "Black and White America," taken from the album of the same name, is full of all kinds of funk and soul. Filmed as part of the "YouTube Presents," series, the live clip shows Lenny and his band making it do what it do. With music that sounds like it could have easily been a Curtis Mayfield production, Kravitz delivers a heartfelt and passionate performance about the state of the world, leaving little doubt as to how he's managed to attain the longevity he has.
