Yes, as I've already established, I watch Glee. Point and laugh if you must, but I find it entertaining and when they get the musical numbers right, they are sheer perfection. Take, for example, an upcoming scene from next week's episode. It featuring two of the show's most talented vocalists -- Naya Rivera and Amber Riley -- doing a mashup of Adele's "Rumour Has It" and "Someone Like You" (two songs that I would have never thought about combining). This isn't the first time Adele has been covered on the show, either. Her songs "Rolling in the Deep" and "Turning Tables" both appeared on the show last season. Amber, as usual, kills her part of the performance capturing the sass and soul that Adele served up in the original version of "Rumour." But Naya really surprises with her take on "Someone Like You." It's really heartfelt and emotional and doesn't suffer from the faster pace of combining it with "Rumour." Of course, most of you who are above it all probably wouldn't be interested in something as trivial as Glee (though somehow, while dropping in ratings this season, they still maintain a fairly decent audience), but the episode featuring this mashup will air next Tuesday, November 15th.
