Lemy Leopard Shows House Is Here To 'Stay'

It seems that pop and R&B music are imitating electronic music more than ever (and usually doing a bad job at it). That's why I'm glad there are folks like Lemy Leopard. The Paris-born, Quebec-raised groovesmith is helping to revolutionize the sound of electronic music without abandoning the source material altogether. "Stay But House Me," his latest offering, is a great example of this. Utilizing short snippets of Ben E. King's soul classic "Stand By Me," Lemy has created a late-'80s/early-'90s style deep house thumper made to deliver you to the dance floor. This selection comes from his upcoming Favorite Recordings release S.A.F.A.R.I., which is scheduled to drop on January 24th. In the meantime, check out "Stay But House Me" below (be warned ladies: you may be tempted to sweat out your weaves to this one) and stay after the bounce for a peek at the album's official trailer.
