Phonte Knows The Working Man's 'Fight' All Too Well

It's hard out here for those of us that happen to be in the 99%. Those who do have jobs more than likely have one that we can't stand and doesn't pay nearly enough. For the rest of us, it's hard to even find a job that we don't like, let alone one we'd actually want. Since Phonte dropped Charity Starts at Home back in September, the one track that I've seemed to gravitate to is the 9th Wonder-produced "The Good Fight." It's truly a 99-percenter/struggling artist anthem on which Mr. Tiggalo speaks on the working man's plight and the struggles that are a part of it. In the video for the track, we meet Corporate Phonte™ complete with horn-rimmed glasses, tie, and short-sleeved button-down. We also are shown how the faltering economy has affected the nation and its communities. Most importantly, though, Phonte asks one very serious question: "How the f--k you sell out when ain't nobody sellin'?" It's nice to see that someone else understands our plight. Right on, brother, right on.
